It works just like the control panel with an LED display and voice prompts putting you in complete control of your system. You can arm/disarm the alarm system, initiate emergency/fire/panic alarms and by using X10 components turn lighting devices on and off. An MKP-150 can operate only with a Powermax+ control panel. The MKP-150 may be operated with an AC power pack (supplied) or by battery power (supplied). With AC power the keypad communicates with the control panel continuously and constantly updates the data. With battery operation the equipment enters sleep mode 15 seconds after last key press and is re-activated immediately and updated as soon as any key is pressed.
